I think everything started at 93 with buying the first fanzine at a music store. It was my first step to underground. Stories, words without censure, with out asking market editors advertising what should be out what not…and that blow me…reading about punk scene in malaysia, japan crust scene, recycling, earth first, selfmade stuff. Bands from basement. Then came a few tries to make fanzines and work for some of them in Zagreb and croatien diy scene.
Later comes band and label and everything made fanzines important, it was the place where we released our changed thinking. A few years later was it the reason that my travel trough East coast-usa was much easier. On beginning of my art space it was a way to give place for local artist to support their works and to change the inputs….and from time to time with my photography work for magazines I came to wall. “That it couldnt be in that way published because it is not …” so for me it was a normal reaction. If nobody wants and like and and and…then you do for you and so do it by yourself….so second journal was born…..
